Steamed Rice with Mushroom & Chicken 有味饭
Ingredients: - 2 cups rice
- 2 whole chicken thighs [each chopped into 5 parts]
- Chinese mushrooms [amount as desired - soak & sliced]
- 1 string of Chinese wind-dried sausage [thinly sliced]
- 1 clove garlic [chopped]
- 1 tbsp dark soya sauce
- 1 tbsp soya sauce
- 1.5 tsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame seed oil
- Half tbsp cooking oil
- A pinch of salt
Method: - Marinate chopped chicken with soya sauce, dark soya sauce, oyster sauce & sesame seed oil for 30 minutes.
- Cook rice together with wind-dried sausages and a pinch of salt.
- In a separate pot, brown garlic in cooking oil and lightly stir-fry the marinated chicken.
- Add in sliced mushrooms and leave to cook for about 10-15 minutes.
- When the rice is almost cooked, pour in the cooked chicken and mushrooms along with the gravy.
- Stir well and leave to cook, checking occasionally and stirring.
