Ohukaiset (pancakes)

This recipe yields approximately 8 medium sized pancakes.

Ingredients:
  1. 2 Eggs
  2. 6 dl* Milk
  3. 3 dl* Flour
  4. 2 tbsp Sugar
  5. 1/2 tsp Salt
  6. 1 dl* Butter


Method:
  1. For the batter, mix eggs and milk together. Then add flour, sugar and salt. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Let batter rise for 30mins. If in a hurry, you could start cooking.
  3. Place a small knob of butter in a hot pan, spread evenly, then pour a thin layer of batter onto hot pan. Repeat the buttering process after every pancake.
  4. Brown pancake on both sides for approximately 2mins until crispy.
  5. Serve hot with sugar sprinkles and lemon, or jam of your choice, or plain.





*dl = desilitre (Amounts to one tenth of a litre. 3 desilitre amounts to 1 full cup.)
